Strain History: Zika virus (ZIKV) Asian/American lineage strain Paraíba_01/2015 was isolated from the serum of an infected human in Brazil in 2015. The genomic sequence in available in NCBI.
Passage History: Vero (2). Reference (1).
Production: Transfection of plasmid encoding the DNA-launched viral genome into Vero cells. No serial passages performed.
